EPS (expanding polystyrol) is better known under its trade name Styrofoam®. It was invented in 1949 by the BASF scientist Dr. Fritz Stasny.
Probably the name of this inventor is not known by everybody nowadays, but his invention Styrofoam®can not be omitted from our everyday life. Houses are built and insulated with Styrofoam®, Products of every kind are packed safe and break-proof. From recycled material injection molded components for diverse application areas are produced.
